About the grey seal
The grey seal is found along the entire UK coast. It rests on land in large groups and is characterized by an elongated head and a long nose with parallel nostrils. Typically, a single pup is born in the autumn, unable to swim until it sheds its fluffy-white coat.
Other semi-aquatic mammals art prints include: Beaver art print, Otter art print and Water vole art print
How can you tell the difference between a grey seal and a common seal?
There are two species of seal found around the UK coast and saltmarshes. International conservation charity Zoological Society of London‘s (ZSL) marine experts explain how to tell them apart.
